A VILLAGE MARKET

A village market is a very important place for the villagers. It is a place where they go to buy or sell the goods which are needed for their everyday life. It is, in fact, the primary centre to meet the the people,s need and gear up their economic development. A village is generally situated on the bank of a river or by the side of a highway or under a big three. It sits generally twice in a week. It begins in the afternoon and ends almost after the sunset. Most of the shops here are temporary but a few permanent shops also may be found here. It is also a gathering place for the villagers. The villagers come not only to buy and to sell goods but also to meet with others. So a village market with its economic value also bears social value.
A village market has demerits also. There is no fixed price for any of the items. A customer may be cheated at any time. A village market is not clean. There is no public sweeper to clean the rubbish and filth. Besides sometimes haggling leads to quarrel.
