Child labour

Labourers below the age of 14 years are called child labour. Children’s mind is like potter's clay. It has to be shaped in a right manner. A child normally has to enjoy its childhood days with its parents, teachers, friends, etc. It is the age where fine and long lasting impressions gather in child's mind.
Childhood is the best time to develop spiritual, intellectual, emotional support. But this rule of nature has been crippled by the perilous child labour.Every child has his right to enjoy his childhood. But inspite of this a few  children are forcefully put to work throughout the world about 250million children are child labourer. Due to poverty poor parents put their children to work in order to supplement the family's economic status. This conceal's the talent and interests in them. Their urge to go to school is dismissed by their parents. This makes the nation lose a few creative minds. The children are deprived of education. They are made to work under threatening conditions. They are overworked and under paid children are made to shine shoe on footpaths, they work as milkboys, ragpickers, house maids, cleaners in hotels etc.
We can find children selling newspapers on highways. All such adverse practices are to be abolished once for all, without leaving its traces for future generations.

Food Poisoning

Food poisoning is defined as any disease of an infectious or toxic nature caused by the consumption of food or drink. It is used to describe the illness caused by bacteria, viruses or parasites. Food poisoning is very common, almost too common. It is very preventable and if everyone just took the necessary precautions then it would be much less of a problem.People get food poisoning for a variety of reasons. When food is left out to long, bacteria starts to grow and these organisms multiply into many more. These are the components that make people sick. With warm, moist food, one bacterium can divide itself every half-hour and produce 16 billion clones in 12 hours. The most common cause of food poisoning is poor personal hygiene. This means yourself, your family, your guests’ hands, and the restaurants who feed you. Washing hands is one of the most important factors to keeping food safe. The second cause is inadequate cooking and cross- contamination. The third cause is when foods are kept as unsafe temperature. To prevent this problem we should be careful about the reasons for which food poisoning is happening.

Drug addiction

Drug addiction means the condition of being unable to stop taking illegal harmful substances that some people smoke or inject. Drugs like heroine, opium, marijuana, morphine, cocaine, phensidyle etc give exciting feelings to those who take these. But frequent taking of these drugs leads a man to certain death. Among the addicted people, the young generation is larger in number.
There are mainly two reasons behind it. First one is young people are more curious. So, whatever they see harmful or useful, they are the first to taste. Again, frustration is another cause of taking drugs. When there is no hope left for the young, they become addicted to drugs. It has become a global problem. Thousands of families in cities, towns and even rural areas all over the world are directly or indirectly affected by it. Drugs have terrible effects on human body. It is a slow poison that damages the brain and all internal functions of the body leading ultimately to death. Again, drug addiction gives birth to new crimes. Drugs are very expensive. So, young people involve in crimes to get money for taking drugs. In Bangladesh drug problem has become a national problem. Bangladesh is often used by the drug dealers as transit from one country to another. In these circumstances, all concerned must create awareness both individually and collectively. The highest punishment of dealing in or smuggling drugs is death in Bangladesh.
The law must be enforced immediately. Parents, teachers must give proper teachings so that children can choose the right thing. This curse can be eradicated only when each and every person of a country becomes aware of it.

Price Hike

Price hike means the rise of price of daily necessaries. Today price hike is a common phenomenon in our economy. The price of essential commodities is increasing by leaps and bounds. The causes of price hike are many. Hoarding is one of the important factors for soaring price level. People hoard the essential commodities with an ill motive and as a result there is break down in the supply. Smuggling and blackmarketing are also important factors that cause price hike. Essential commodities are always being smuggled across the border. Shortage of supply due to low production also accelerates the price hike of essential goods. Our population is increasing in geometrical progress, while the supply of food increases in arithmetical progress. For this the supply of goods is very scanty in comparison to our demands. However efforts should be made and necessary actions and proper measures should be taken to tackle the situation. Hoarding should be controlled. Smuggling and black-marketing are to be eradicated. Adequate supply of essential commodities is to be ensured. And last of all government should launch programmed to tackle the price hike problem.

Paragraph on Facebook

Facebook is a social networking website intended to connect friends, family, and business associates. It is the largest of the networking sites, with the runner up being My Space. It began as a college networking website and has expanded to include anyone and everyone. Facebook was founded by 2004 by Harvard student Mark Zuckerberg and originally called the face book. It was quickly successful on campus and expanded beyond Harvard into other Ivy League schools. At that time, it was only available to schools, universities, organizations, and companies within English speaking countries, but has since expanded to include anyone. Facebook users create a profile page that shows their friends and networks information about themselves. The choice to include a profile in a network means that everyone within that network can view the profile. The profile typically includes the following: Information, Status, Friends, and Friends in Other Networks, Photos, Notes, Groups, and The Wall. Users are able to search for friends and acquaintances by e-mail address, school, university, or just by typing in a name or location for search. When people become friends, they are able to see all of each others' profiles including contact information. E-mail notifications let users know when new friends have chosen to add them to their list or when someone has sent a message to them within the system. A popular feature on Face book is the ability to share photographs uploaded from a phone, camera, or hard drive. As with other private information, users have the option to allow only friends to see their pictures or anyone. There is an unlimited amount of storage available, which is a major advantage of Facebook’s photograph sharing capabilities.

Mobilephone

Mobile phone is a simple tool to help a human activity. This is a kind of a useful technology. Now, a lot of people use this thing in their daily activities. As a result of technology, mobile phone gives us many advantages. First, connecting us to other people outside is the most important profit that we get. We can communicate with our relatives, friends, and colleges without meeting them. We do not spend our money to go there. Second, mobile phone has some good services, for example, we can make a call or just send a message to know the condition of our relatives, or we can make a video call to show the real situation with our relatives at the moment in their areas. Third, mobile phone gives us many entertainments, such as games, music track, Internet services, camera, and also video. We can enjoy with mobile phone. So far, mobile phone is a good thing for us to help our activities.

Technology

Nowadays technology has brought a lot of changes to our life, especially in education and communication. In communication, the major changes happen in the way we communicate with other people. We do not need to meet them in person or face to face to say what is in our mind. We simply can phone them or do video chat using Internet connection. In the past, we spent a long time to travel to a distant place, but now we just need hours or even minutes to go there using the latest technology in a form of transportation means. In education, the changes have brought advantages to students and teachers. For instance, students can do their homework or assignment faster because using Internet. The teachers also get some advantages from it. They can combine their teaching skill with it and produce some interesting materials to teach like colorful slides to deliver the lesson and animation to show how things happen. In conclusion, technology itself has given us advantages to improve our life’s quality.

The Effect of Social Network

Today, there are many ways to communicate to each other outside. High technology tools appear to help us to communicate easily and quickly. The newest communication tool is a social network in which we can make friends by it, for example, Face book or Twitter. There, we just show our own picture with our personal identity and we can add someone who wants to be our friend easily. However, do you ever think that social network makes more problems for children? There are some reasons to keep away social network from children. First, the social network is available for adults. So, the features are only for adults and do not fix with children environment. It makes a bad lesson to their mental development. Second, there are many criminal actions, such as deception, robbing, violence and so on. Sometimes, children become a victim of the criminal actions. Besides, children can imitate these things in their social life. Third, connecting to social network web needs more money. Therefore, children use their own pocket money to connect if their parents do not give them. Actually, they get some bad habits to spend their money to something useless. Fourth, the important reason is social network can disturb their main duty as a child, like studying or helping their parents. Children usually lose their concentration and are lazy to study. They prefer to connect social network than studying. Thus, social network is a bad thing for children, because it makes more problems.

Coupling: The Sources of Sins

Coupling is not a kind of detachable things in adolescent’s life nowadays. It is one of the sources of sins. Islam has prohibited coupling explicitly. In Islam, the activity is kind of prohibition which is commonly classified as “zinah”. Zinah is the second big sin in Islam. There are many kinds of zinah. There are zinah by our heart, zinah by our eyes, zinah by our hands, zinah by our lips and many more kinds of zinah. But the worst kind of it is having sexual intercourse. It is the same thing with doing a sin about 80 years. In Al-Qur’an, Allah SWT has explained, “Do not you approach something which can lead you to do zinah, because actually zinah is a kind of despichable acts and a bad way.” (QS. Al-Isra’ : 32). Our prophet, Muhammad SAW disagrees with coupling either. It is not without a reasons. He said, “Do not both of you (man and woman) come together in a place, because syeitan (the prince of darkness) will be the third of you.” He means that the activity (coupling) can give an encouragement to do zinah. It is also able to make a small sin becomes a big sin. There are many common activities in coupling, such as holding, hugging, kissing, and or even more like having sexual intercourse. Holding can encourage to do hugging, hugging can encourage to do kissing, kissing can encourage to do something more or even having sexual intercourse, the real zinah. Love actually is a kind of feeling which given by God, Allah SWT. But as moslem, we should know how to respond that kind of feeling. Beware of that kind of feeling, do not let it leads us to do zinah by coupling. Avoiding to have couple is kind of obligation for us as moslem.

Brainstorm

Brainstorm is the negative kind of brainwash, a method or a way which is used to change our perception or to lead the way of thinking to have the same idea in interpretation about something by infiltrating an information or idea to our brain. A brainwash is a useful method if it is used for positive aims, such as to develop our confidence, to increase or build spirit of war, etc. But it will be negative if it is used for negative aims such as for an activity which has a reason for religion like “jihad” for example. Brainmstorm is one of the biggest issues which Indonesian people have been talking about recently. It cannot be underestimated because it has caused many victims, especially for young muslims. The victims are able to allow themselves to accomplish their aim for the holy war because they think they will get heaven as an exchange of the activity. Whereas the truth of the idealism is not still able to be proven. It is really difficult for us to annihilate their activity. But there are some ways or solutions to avoid the influence of brainstorm. First, we do not believe too much to strangers. We have to be aware to the strangers if they try to give a strange attention for us. Second, we should be overminded in thinking. We ought to reduce our egoism, not to think in radical ways. Islam is a religion which loves peace. Third, we had better think the impacts of the activity. Whether it will give us bad impacts or not. Whether the activity will harm us, our family and other people or not. If there are many disadvantages that occur which can be caused by the idealism, we have to it. Fourth, we had better get the truth of the idealism. We can try to look for the truth from Qur’an, books, ask to ustadz or someone who has enough capability about that. Jihad is actually holy war in Islam. But it is not radicalism. “Dakwah” is one of the best ways to do jihad in a country which has many religions like Indonesia. Beware and try to think more often about new idealism which we might get. Avoid regretness about our noble death, so that it will not be wasted.

Computer

Computer is a fairly recent invention. It has brought about a revolutionary changes in our life.It is an electronic device that can perform mathematical calculations and process large masses of information at a great speed. It can make thousand of calculations in a moment. It can also store in its memory millions of facts and figures. It can not only solve complex mathematical problems quickly and accurately but also perform many operations at once and at the same time without any confusion.Nowadays computer helps to diagnose a disease.Computer is of great use to us also in the field of agriculture and business. It has lessened our work loads and made our life easy and comfortable.

Global Warming

Global warming is the increase of world's average temperature, mainly in the sector of atmosphere, seas and the land on Earth. here are three serious factor, namely the crack on the lower part of atmosphere, pollution on Earth an so many green houses. The first factor is on the atmosphere. Recent years, many researches show that atmosphere has some kind of crack because of the heat from sun's emission. The layer of atmosphere seems can not take the heat anymore. The crack gets larger as the sun-ray holds in the atmosphere as there are gases as what it seems to be the cause. This second factor, pollution, takes its toll as the one which makes the sun-ray stuck n the atmosphere. These gases are very thick that even the sun-ray can not get through it, or at least it is hard to do it. The third factor is that the green houses, reflected the sun-ray that supposed to be stayed on Earth sending the sun-ray back to space, but remember though, there is the gases that block the process of sending away the sun-ray. If the green houses don't stop being built, that will just be a helpful tool to make the atmosphere and our Earth worst. From these explanations, details and examples, my conclusion is that someone has got to do something and not just keep inventing new technology or fancy factories because what we need now is not something that can make life easier but something that can decrease the temperature.

Dangers of smoking

Smoking, a bad habit is dangerous for health. A person who smoker cigarette endanger his life. Many deadly diseases like bronchitis, cancer, chronic, heart attack etc. May be caused by smoking. We should be watchful of the smoking. The both smoking drive should banned in th public buildings, Bus stops, rail station, workplaces, hotel and restaurants and in the public transport.

E-mail is abbreviated form of electronic mail. It is the communication of textual message via electronic means. Although telex communication is electronic in nature there are differences between telex and e-mail. Telex communication is terminal to terminal, while electronic mail communication is user-to-user via the computer. In order to operate an e-mail system we need a personal computer, a modem and a telephone connection. Important advantage of E-mail is its ability to reduce the consumption of paper in the office. Internal memos and reports can be exchanged electronically without using paper.

Internet is a new device for speedy transmission of nation, news, feelings, etc. In the process of computer network. Internet is now regarded as a milestone in the modern world of computers. Internet is practically a network of all networks. In Bangladesh internet opened a new dimension in nun communication system. Our T & T board has already introduced VSAT in our country. As a result, telephone line through wires will on more be required. Now cellular telephone is being used. The govt. has launched the 3g internet service and the development of internet is on going. The use of internet in our country still remains costly. It is hoped that our government will take all possible steps to make up beneficiary of this wonderful system in a very short time.

Brain Drain

When skilled and experienced people leave the country and work in other countries and stay there, its is called brain drain. In our country many brilliant students in to abroad for higher education but they do not return to their native land after completing the education. They stay there and work in that country this is also brain drain. But he the students return after completing their education it is not brain drain. Brain drain is a great loop for every country as there is always the scarcity of skilled and talented man rows. There are a lot of reasons of the talented people's leaving the country. First of all is the alluring offers which the developed countries give. Secondly our country cannot provide suitable jobs for those skilled and expert people. In spite of that expert people should not leave the country. They should do something for the nation.

Food Pyramid

Food pyramid is a chart to show the five groups of foods. There are different types of foods, which we usually take, in each group. The chart also tells us how much of each group of food we should eat. If we observe at the base or the bottom of the pyramid we will find different types of foods; like breads, cereals, rice, noodles, potatoes, etc. These types if foods are very helpful and healthy. So, we should eat plenty of these foods. Then in the next group we can see some fresh fruits and vegetables. We must eat them regularly. As we go up the pyramid, we find dairy products like milk, cheese, yogurt and meat, fish, beans, nuts and eggs. We should eat these food items moderately because they are important for health but we don’t need too much of them. And at the top we have fats, oils, sweets, etc. and we should eat very little of these foods because they are unhealthy.

Dangue Fever

Dangue fever is one line of virus fever. Nowadays it is the most dangerous of all fever. Aedes, a line of mosquito and monkey carry this virus. Aedes lays it eggs on standing or stagnat water in bottles, plastic container, pots, tyres, green coconut, plates, polythene etc.
After the pain has stopped. It cites a healthy man especially in the morning and the evening.
If dangue bits a healthy man he feels severe pain in the whole body, dizzy headache, anorexia nausa, malaise and red spots at the different parts of the body and unnatural stools are found.
We should keep or make any dwelling house neat and clean and keep the waste materials, stagnant water in any pot or any broken pot in a safer place for prevention of this disease.

A Moonlit Night

A moonlit night is really pleasing. It gives a nice view. The moon shines in the cloudless sky with all her gleams. She looks like a glossy dish of silver. The sparkling stars twinkle around the moon and make her more beautiful.
The sky looks like a canopy beautified with the shining moon and glittering stars. The moon washes the whole world with her silvery light. Everything appears to be coated with silver, rivers, canals and roofs seen to smile in the splendid moon beam.
The trees and creepers look bright and sparkling.
A moonlit might in the rural areas of Bangladesh really offers a beautiful sight. Dazzling light removes the gloom of the night. It offers a sight that cheers the mind and leaves a deep impression on it.

Islam is a religion of peace

Islam is not only a religion but also a complete code of life.In the world Islam stands for peace, so Islam is a religion of peace as it ensures a peaceful life to its follower. Islam stands on its five pillars- 'Faith, Namaz, Fasting, Zakat and Hajj. Allah is one, and Hazrat Muhammad (Sm) is the prophet of Islam.
Allah's message is the Quran and Hadith is the instruction of our prophet. Islam is like a guide which shows the right way. Our life is manipulated according to the rituals of Islam. In Islam we find many rules and regulations. And by following these rules and regulations we may lead a peaceful and systematic life. The holy Quran is like a constitution which establishes the rights of man.
Our life is handled in accordance with the rules of the holy Quran. Islam shows the path of peace. It establishes peace among the people of the world. In fact, it is a religion of peace and prosperity.

A Good Teacher

Mr. Amzad Hossain is our English teacher. He is about 30 years old. He is a brilliant scholar and has a very good command of English. His pronunciation in English is good and he speaks English with foreign accent. He has a lot of qualities.
He is very gentle and well-behaved. He is never rude to his pupils. He is also considerate and co-operative. He helps his students when they face any problem. He helps them even outside the classroom. His technique of teaching is highly impressive.
In his class he creates an English environment. It helps us hear English, and think and interact in English. He makes his lesson easy and interesting.
He keeps his students active and keen to learn. He also makes them confident and proves them clever. Above all, he is sincere, punctual, honest and amiable. I an greatly impressed by his towering personality, efficiency and affection for his students. I like him most, and a teacher like Mr. Amzad Hossain is very rare indeed.

International Labor Organisation (ILO)

ILO, the international Labor Organisation, is a worldwide organisation which is working to preserve the rights of the laborers and to facilitate them in several ways. The organisation is much older them United Nations.
After the establishment of the UN, it was treated as a specialized agency. This Organisation defends basic trade union rights. It has formulated Committee on freedom of the Association.
It takes attempts to ensure working standard worldwide. Its committee on freedom of Association enables workers to bargain collectively. This committee also accepts complaints from the trade unions and from other workers. By performing all there activities ILO is doing a magnificent job for the laborers as well as for the humanity. It's headquarters is in Geneva.
Actually ILO is working as a pressure group to realize the demands of the working class. Through ILO, many labor organisations come to realize their demands and thus reduce exploitation by the employers.

A Book Fair

Book is our friend. When new books are published, they need to ad sent to the readers. So book fairs are arranged to display new books as well as to create demands for them. A book fair has become very popular. A book fair was held in the month of February last year in the premises of bangla Academy. Generally book fair is held in February on the occasion of international mother language day, 21st February. Last year I have visited the book fair. More than hundred of pavilions were set up. All sorts of books, text books, francs, fictions, children books, religious books, reference books were displayed.
The stalls were decorated beautifully to draw the attention of the readers. A book fair becomes crowded specially in the evening. A book fair spreads the message via books are our best friend and it makes our life glorious.

Dowry System

Dowry System is a common social problem.Dowry is the money or property that is demanded by the bridegroom when he marries a bride. The system of dowry has now become a curse to the society. The torture upon the women by men is a very common sight of today. Sometimes the women become a victim of loss of life as a result of the torture by their husbands. The main reason of dowry is negative attitude of the parents of the bridegroom and the lack of education of the bride. The bridegroom takes dowry and the womenfolk become victims of dowry. The dowry system affects the whole society. The parents of the bride sell properties and become penniless to fulfill the demand of the bridegroom. Sometimes they cannot keep their word they give before getting their daughters marrying. On the other hand, the bridegroom gets huge property without any efforts. I have the social voice. This social curse can be eliminated by making womenfolk educated and self-dependent. The menfolk also should be given proper education to change their attitude.

Acid Rain

Acid rain is a such kind of rain which contains harmful chemicals. But in severely polluted areas, rain can be as acidic as the acids of lemon juice or vinegar  This rain, which is very acidic, can cause damage to trees, lakes, wild life, building and human health.
Breathing in chemicals can harm people. It causes chest illness. When acid rain causes the release of chemicals and metals into drinking water, it pollutes the water. That is how acid rain affects drinking water. Fading of the colours of the glass is a common result of the acid rain. In the last thirty years some 1000 years old stained glass windows have been damaged by acid rain. The damage of Tazmahal indicates that acid pollution is occurring in the developing world.

Greenhouse Effect

In recent years the world's climate is undergoing a significant change and that is the world's temperature is increasing day by day. This increase in global warning is called greenhouse effect. This is caused by increased amounts of carbon dioxide around the earth.
The 24 km thick ozone layer which protects us and the earth from the ultra violet ray of the sun is being destroyed by chlorofluorocarbon dioxides; mythane, nitrus-oxide and other gases. As a result, violet ray of the sun enter the earth which not only warm up the earth but also causes serious diseases like cancer, immunity etc. The temperature will be increased and there will be deluges, sea leavel rise, ecological balance of the earth will be ruined. Realising the dangers, steps should be taken to find out fruitful possibilities of international collaboration for the global problem.

Early Marriage

Early marriage means a wedding between a young any and a young girl before reaching puberty. The girls of the extreme poverty stricken families both in the slums of the towns and cities and of villages are found to be married off before 15. The parents of there families cannot afford to educate their girls and cannot provide them with jobs.

These girls often eat up and pass time idly. This situations force the parents to make them married. Only poverty plays the key role in early marriage. In the existing socio-economic set-up parents are concerned about the marriage of their daughters.
Superstitions, social and religions customs, discriminatory attitude towards girls, wrong idea about girls education are also responsible for early marriage. They become the victims of growing old early. In such a condition of their health, weak baby is born with different complications. So, this destructive practice should be stopped.
No girl should be married off before 18 and a boy before 21. The parents involved in early marriage should be punished. To encourage female education and to discourage early marriage our government has taken some positive steps, such as giving stipends to girls, recruiting more female teachers etc. This will help stopping early marriage.

Olympic Games

The Olympic Games are a quadrennial international amateur sports contest. The modern games derived from the ancient Greek athletic festival held at the foot of Mount Olympus, believed to be the home of the Greek gods, in 776 BC, to honor the Greek's chief god Zeus. This indicates that the Greeks emphasized physical fitness and strength in their education of youth.
Later, in Roman times the games were banned by Theodosius the Great in 339 AD. The games were revived at Athens in 1896 Largely through the efforts of Baran Pierre de Coubertine, a French educator, who wished to improve national and international understanding through sports. In older times the winners were greatly honored by having olive wreaths placed on their heads and having poems sung about there deeds.
The Olympic games were so sacred to the Greeks that wars in progress were halted to allow the games to take place. But in modern times the 1916 and 1940 Olympic Games could not be held due to the First and Second World Wars. The games are now governed by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
Although officially a friendly contest between individuals is held the games are often seen as a competition between countries and have recently been troubled by international political tension.

Globalization

Globalization is basically a process of expanding trade and commerce all over the world by creating a border less market. However, it is creating more opportunities for capitalist countries rather than for the developing ones. In the name of help and co-operation, the industrially developed capitalist countries are exploiting the cheap labour available in poor countries. This is the common fear about the adverse effects of globalization in the countries like ours. But, the fear is not quite justified because globalization has also a far-reaching effect on many aspects of life. With the development of hi-tech communication media and rapid transportation facilities the world has come closer.
We can share our joys and sorrows like next door neighbours  Globalization also brings all types of different customs and behaviour into our homes through satellite television channels and the Internet.
Now, we can enrich our local culture through constant interaction of different cultures. But, along with this, the cultural assault can also be resisted by the strength of our own traditional social values, beliefs and attitudes.

Hazrat Muhammad (Sm)

Hazrat Muhammad (Sm) is the last Prophet of Allah and leader of all prophets. He is the greatest of men and teachers ever born on earth. There is none like him. He is the embodiment of all that is good, pure and noble. Hazrat Muhammad (Sm) was born in the famous Quraish tribe of Macca in 570 A.D. Before his birth Arab was steeped in darkness, ignorance and superstition. The Arabs were ignorant and wicked and they led beastly lives. They were worshippers of many god and goddesses and were given all kinds of vices. The people of other countries of the world also had fallow on evil ways of life by that time. Hazrat Muhammad (Sm) with the holy Quran was therefore sent by Allah to correct the Arabs and to show the people of the world the right Path. This great and noble soul passed away in 632 A.D at age of 63. But his work and teachings remain and will be followed as long as the world lasts. He made Muslims brothers on one another, built a great nation and powerful state. At present one fifth of the people of the world are the followers of this great and noble Prophet.

Discipline
